We
both know that, the
province of Bohol is almost entirely affected by illegal drugs, according to
the Philippine National Police (PNP). I don’t believe that Bohol is now
a drug free province but ‘Drug-free Bohol possible’ because PSSupt Natividad, who in his statements
committed to make Bohol as the first province to be declared drug-free, after
Bohol police succeeded in making peaceful visits to the houses of known
personalities to plead for them to stop using illegal drugs or permanently stop
pushing. The
province's ongoing war on illegal drugs has shifted to a higher gear, and
according to the Bohol police director making Bohol as a drug-free place is
"highly possible."
None of
Bohol’s 1,109 barangays have officially been declared drug-free by the Bohol
Provincial Police Office (BPPO) almost six months after President Rodrigo
Duterte started his war on narcotics trade. According to BPPO spokesman Senior
Insp. Vincent Dumaguing, both Camp Dagohoy and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse
Council (PADAC) continue to monitor drug activities in each barangay. Dumaguing
said that the state of being drug-free will officially be determined by the
PADAC. So as for now, “Bohol
Approach" in wiping out illegal drugs here, the comprehensive approach is collusion
between the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Army and the Prosperity
Team of the Purok Power Movement of the Provincial Government of Bohol,
together with local government units and non-government organizations. I granted that changes are coming, with our unity
as one. We are
all equal in the fact that we are all different. We are all the same in the
fact that we will never be the same in the eye of the humanity. We are united
by the reality that all colors and all cultures are distinct and individual.. As we hold on together and help our country, it means
progress and war-free.
